There are many ways to explore the Rocky Mountains at wintertime, from short family outings with snowshoes to daylong adventures heli-skiing. No matter, which activity you choose, you will be thrilled what the Canadian Rockies have to offer. Beginner or pro, there is something for everyone and all ages. Be warned, if you come to the Canadian Rocky Mountains once, it wonít be for the last time!

The Canadian Rocky Mountains extend over 1450 kilometre from the Pacific Ocean to the prairie grassland. The Canadian Rocky Mountains with its many snow-capped peaks are unique on earth and attract many visitors from all over the world each year. The Rockies build a natural border between the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.


Banff
The city of Banff is part of the Banff National Park which is more than 6.600 square kilometre in size and is located just one hour drive west of Calgary. The Banff National Park is Canada's oldest park and wildlife reserve of its kind and was established in 1885.

Banff, known as honeymoon retreat, offers all kind of recreational attractions year round. In winter time there are as much as three ski resorts, Mount Norquay, Louise, and Sunshine Village to please all friends of winter sports.

Sulphur Mountain Gondola runs to the summit and provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, Bow River and Banff townside from an altitude of 2.285 metres. You can walk up in about 75 minutes and are rewarded with a free lift down.


Jasper
Jasper National Park is situated on a plateau in the Athabasca Valley, within the Canadian Rocky Mountains, west of Edmonton, northwest of Calgary and northeast of Vancouver, BC. Jasper is the largest of the northern Canadian Rocky Mountain National Parks and has been established in 1907.

Jasper is an internationally recognized four-season destination with so much to see and do to suit everyone's tastes. You'll want to have enough time to enjoy Jasper's many exceptional offerings, such as the Hot Springs, Cross country skiing, down hill skiing, wildlife viewing, marmot basin, boating at Maligne Lake, Maligne Canyon ice walk and many more.

Tete Jaune Cache is located in the heart of British Columbia. Surrounded from the Rocky Mountains, Cariboo Mountains and Monashee Mountains it is an ideal gateway for both Mount Robson Provincial Park and Jasper National Park.
